「ブラジル」をテーマにしたアルバム。ジスモンチやジョビンなどおなじみの名前から、ヴィラ＝ロボスの情熱的な曲、ナザレーの抒情的な曲などもりだくさんの選曲です。今回はミカラ・ペトリのリコーダーを中心に、若手ギタリスト、ダニエル・マレイと、マイルス・デイヴィスとも共演経験のある天才的ジャズ・パーカッション奏者、マリリン・マズールがアンサンブルを結成し、洗練された響きを聞かせています。作曲家としても知られるマレイ自身の作品も収録。情熱からsaudade＝哀愁まで、多彩なブラジル音楽を奏でています。
