クルト・ワイルのファンなら狂喜乱舞の贈り物です。彼が聖書の世界を題材に一大ページェントとして作り上げた歌劇「永遠の道」。その余りにも壮大なプロジェクトは初演時にセンセーションを巻き起こしましたが、金がかかり過ぎて上演は短期間で中止されてしまいます。その幻の名作が、ミルケン・アーカイヴとワイル財団とのコラボレーションによりここに復活、抜粋ながら初録音となります。ワイルによる音楽は期待通りで、人間の声の力を見せつけます。例えばトラック６の思いつめたような激しさだけでも、聴き手を虜にする魔力に満ちています。
