タウリンス指揮ターフェルムジークのメサイア全曲盤がついに出ました。永らく愛聴しているハイライト盤について以前レビューしましたが、2011年12月に新録音された今回もピリオド楽器による心地よい演奏、オケと合唱の一体感が健在です。ソリストはバスを除いて交代し、個々に聴けば好みの分かれるところですが、不思議と統一感があり川の流れを乱すことがありません。これがタウリンスの統率力なのでしょうか。全曲聴いても決して疲れない、何度でも繰り返し聴けるメサイアです。

ターフェルムジークによる「メサイア」の最新録音です。ヘンデル(1685-1759)独自の様式を持つ孤高の宗教作品である「メサイア」だけあって、この曲を幾度となく演奏してきた彼らにとっても、毎回の演奏が新たなチャレンジとなっていることは間違いありません。この2011年の演奏も、すばらしいソリストたちを交えた白熱のドラマが繰り広げられたもので、聴衆と批評家から大絶賛されています。
