Richard Suart was educated at St John’s College Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music, where he was recently made a Fellow. Work in the United Kingdom includes Die Fledermaus, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado and The Merry Widow (English National Opera); The Yeomen of the Guard (Welsh National Opera); Playing Away, Of Thee I Sing, Let ’em Eat Cake (Opera North); L’Heure espagnole, Iolanthe (Grange Park); La Cenerentola (Garsington) and The Little Prince (BBC). Abroad, he has performed The Mikado at La Fenice, New York City Opera, Vancouver, Penang and throughout Holland; Eight Songs for a Mad King in Paris, Helsinki, Gelsenkirchen, Milan and Strasbourg. Recordings include nine Savoy Operas, Candide, The Geisha and Show Songs of Lionel Monckton.
