The baritone Marco Cristarella Orestano was born in Naples in 1971 and studied with Mino Campanino and subsequently with Jonathan Barry and Alberto Triola. His operatic rôles have included Dandini (La Cenerentola) with the San Carlo Theatre, Buralicchio (L’equivoco stravagante) at the Rossini Festival of Bad Wildbad, Don Profondo (Il viaggio a Reims) at the Young Festival, and Rossini’s Figaro in Romania and elsewhere. Other Rossini rôles have included Don Magnifico, Taddeo and Geronio.
