Tenor Robert Lee studied at the Hanyang University in Seoul and the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Martinini in Bologna. A first prize laureate at the Pavarotti Voice Competition and Toti Dal Monte Opera Competition, he has performed title roles in operas including Die Zauberflöte, L’elisir d’amore, La traviata, Carmen and La Bohème, with conductors including Myung-Whun Chung, Peter Maag, Daniel Oren and Riccardo Muti.
For his contribution to the arts in Korea he received a Commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. He is professor of voice at Hanyang University College of Music.
