Danielle de Niese has gained wide recognition as a highly respected and popular classical artist with an ability to communicate on every level through her recordings, performances and television exposure. She was the youngest singer to participate in the Lindemann Young Artist Program at The Metropolitan Opera making her debut as Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro) at the age of 19.
She has since performed on world stages including The Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Glyndebourne, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Semperoper Dresden, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Sydney Opera House, the San Francisco Opera, the Teatro Real Madrid and the Opéra national de Paris in roles including Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così fan tutte), Poppea (Agrippina), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare), Ariel (The Enchanted Island), Anne Trulove (The Rake’s Progress), Poppea (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Adina (L’Elisir d’amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Concepción (L’Heure espagnole), title role (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Hannah Glawari (Die lustige Witwe), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and Musetta (La Bohème).
