Orlin Anastassov is a Bulgarian opera singer with an active international career performing leading bass roles. He made his operatic debut at the age of 20 as The King of Egypt in Aida at the Rousse State Opera. He won First Prize in the 1999 Operalia competition, and went on to make his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan as Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia that same year.
He has also performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper and other major opera houses around the world. His repertoire includes the major bass roles in the Italian and Russian repertoire, such as Ramfis/Il re in Aida, Zaccaria in Nabucco, Jacopo Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra, Filippo II in Don Carlo, Raimondo Bidebent in Lucia di Lammermoor and the title role in Boris Godunov.
