The French pianist Geneviève Girard has always been committed to contemporary music, notably the music of Valéry Arzoumanov and Anthony Girard. She has collaborated with musicians including the violonists Alexis Moschkov, Elena Denisova, Nicolas Risler, Michael Appleman, Isabelle Flory and Jean-Luc Richardoz, the cellists Alexander Dimlitriev, Serguei Sudzilovsky, Fabrice Bihan and Bertrand Malmasson, the soprano Françoise Masset, the oboist Jean-Pierre Arnaud and the clarinettist Jean-Marc Fessard. She also appeared with ensembles including À ciel ouvert, Carpe Diem and Arpeggionne, and with Opus 62 in the quintets of Schumann, Borodin and Dvořák. Geneviève Girard teaches at the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel and at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.
