Flavio Ferri-Benedetti was born in Scandiano (Italy) and took a piano diploma in Vila Real (Spain), receiving an MA in Translation Studies at the Universitat Jaume I. In 2010 he was awarded his MA cum laude in Historical Singing with Gerd Turk at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He is at present being coached by Lina Maria Akerlund. Ferri-Benedetti was nominated by Opernwelt as Promising Artist of the Year in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 he won third prize at the Sacred Music International Competition in Rome. He has appeared as a soloist at the Theater Basel, Oper Frankfurt, Opera Royal de Versailles, Opera de Nice, Opera de Oviedo, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Munich Prince Regent Theatre and other venues throughout Europe.
