As a long-standing ensemble member of Oper Frankfurt, the versatile baritone Sebastian Geyer has excelled in Baroque roles such as Purcell’s Aeneas, Handel’s Curio (Giulio Cesare), Telemann’s Orpheus and Creonte (L’Orontea) as well as Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Guglielmo, Count Almaviva and Papageno, Peter (Hansel und Gretel), Albert (Werther), Dr Falke (Die Fledermaus) and 20th-century works.
Contemporary music highlights include Barone Tito Belcredi in Trojahn’s Enrico, Sebastian in Ades’ The Tempest and Ingo in the world premiere of Arnulf Herrmann’s Der Mieter.
Sebastian Geyer has made guest appearances at the State Theatres in Stuttgart and Wiesbaden, the Lucerne Theatre, the Opera de Lausanne and at the Rococo Theatre in Schwetzingen.
He is professor of singing at the Zurich Academy of the Arts.
