The soprano Diana Mian studied singing with Alessandro Vitiello and made her operatic début at the Teatro La Fenice, Venice as Juliette in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, going on to sing Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Serpina (La serva padrona) in Vicenza and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) in Milan. She sang Carolina in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto in Ankara, Izmir, Istanbul and Prague. Other rôles include Mimì (La bohème) in Tashkent, Sassari and Lecco, Serafi na (Il campanello) in Bergamo, Norina (Don Pasquale), Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and Elvira (Ernani) in Pordenone and the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro) in Valencia. In 2013 she sang Maria Stuarda in Donizetti’s opera at the Teatro Comunale in Florence, returning the following year to sing Lucietta in Wolf-Ferrari’s Il campiello, a rôle she has also undertaken in Rovigo and Venice. In the course of her career she has won various international singing competitions, including the Città di Brescia, the Voci Liriche Rosetum in Milan, the Iris Adami Corradetti in Padua and the Giuseppe di Stefano in Trapani. She was also awarded first prize at the Lilian Caraian-Wettbewerb Competition in Trieste.
