The Bartók-Pásztory Prize-winning Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra, founded by the Hungarian State Railways nearly a century ago, has gained a new image in recent years, receiving more recognition in the musical life of Hungary and the world. The ensemble is a regular participant of the Budapest Spring Festival and CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival, and is a co-founder of the Russian Music Festival. The orchestra also undertakes prestigious international productions spanning both symphonic and operatic repertoire.
