Armenian pianist Lilit Grigoryan studied at the National Conservatorium Komitas and later at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Rostock. She was also an artist-inresidence, supervised by Maria Joao Pires, at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium. Lilit Grigoryan is an award winner of several international competitions. In 2008 she received the cultural award of the Armenian president, as well as awards from the Russian Federation and her native city of Yerevan. So far she has performed as a soloist in 27 countries at well-known concert halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Philharmonie Essen, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Salle Cortot and the Cite de la musique in Paris, the BOZAR and the Flagey in Brussels. As a soloist she has performed together with several renowned orchestras and at many European music festivals. Lilit Grigoryan has been awarded scholarships by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Horst-Rahe-Stiftung. She has broadcast on radio, and in 2012 she released her first CD featuring works by Scarlatti, Schumann, Bartok and Khachaturian on the DiscAuvers label. Since 2010 Lilit Grigoryan has been a lecturer at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Rostock.
