Born in 1937 in Paris, Fernand Quattrocchi won several First Prizes at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique. He was conductor of the Lorraine Philharmonic Orchestra and is currently principal conductor of the Metz Chamber Orchestra. He has conducted a number of orchestras in France and abroad, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Paris Pasdeloup, Colonne and Lamoureux Orchestras, the Association des Concerts de Chambre Fernand Oubradous, the Orchestres d’Ile de France, the Orchestre des Pays de la Loire, the operas of Metz, Avignon, Saint Etienne, Nice, and elsewhere. Concert tours have taken him to Korea, Venezuela, Canada, Luxembourg, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Romania and elsewhere. He has given classes in conducting in Seoul, Caracas, Maastricht, at the Nice International Summer Academy, the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique and at the Metz Conservatoire National.
