German-Italian mezzo-soprano Anna-Doris Capitelli was for two years a member of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala and won various competitions, including in Berlin and Istanbul. Acclaimed for her warm tone and virtuosity as a coloratura, she has received awards from various foundations.

In 2017 she made her debut at La Scala as Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, in the work’s first performance there in German. Other roles have included Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Tisbe (La Cenerentola), Dryade (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Ida (Die Fledermaus).

She has appeared as a guest at Staatsoper Hannover, and performed in numerous Lieder recitals and concerts.
