The baritone Gioacchino Zarrelli studied at the Benevento Conservatorio with Silvano Pagliuca, continuing his
training with Rodolfo Celletti and Michael Aspinall. He has appeared as a guest artist at a number of festivals, opera
houses and concert halls in Italy and abroad and collaborated with leading conductors and directors. In 1998 he
sang in Matilde di Shabran and Il viaggio a Reims at Wildbad. His repertoire includes a number of bel canto operas,
with works by Pergolesi, Cimarosa, Mozart, Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Bizet and Verdi, some of which have been
recorded. He teaches at the Conservatorio Piccinni di Monopoli. At Wildbad he has appeared as Cecchino in
Simone Mayrs Laccademia di musica.
