The Canadian soprano Mary Enid Haines studied at the University
of Toronto and as the recipient of the Floyd S. Chalmers Performing Arts Award
went to the Early Music Centre in London to study with Emma Kirk by. She has
appeared with the Windsor and the Oshawa Symphony Orchestras, Tafelmusik and
the Toronto Chamber Society and is also a member of the baroque chamber group
Musick Fyne, with which she has enjoyed excellent reviews, with broadcasts both
of concerts and of recordings on the IBS label. Mary Enid Haines also holds
a position in the Faculty of Music of the University of Toronto and has served
as president of the Toronto Early Music Centre.
