Jean-Marc Fessard studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and at Paris University, and enjoys an international career both in chamber music and as a soloist accompanied by prestigious ensembles, including the orchestras of Poznań, Szczecin, Katowice, Bakou, and Gdansk, the Polish National Radio Orchestra, Polish Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of the Czech Philharmonic, Zagreb Chamber Orchestra and the Elysée, Ebène, and Wieniawski Quartets. Dedicatee of many works, he is a frequent contributor to Polish radio and television, the BBC and Radio France. Composers such as Philippe Hersant, Piotr Moss, Karol Beffa, Jacques Bondon, Bruno Letort, Anthony Girard, Michel Lysight, Ivan Bellocq, Maury Buchala, and Vincent Guyot have dedicated works to him. He has recorded some twenty acclaimed CDs. Since 2004 he has taught at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. He is a member of the jury of the Gdansk International Brahms Competition and the Łódź Alexander Tansman International Chamber Music Competition. Author of The Evolution of the Clarinet (Billaudot Paris), he is director of publications for Billaudot publications in Paris.
