Varvara Tsambali graduated from Athens University of Economics and Business, was a recipient of the Maria Callas Scholarship, and undertook opera studies at the University of Vienna, starring in Le nozze di Figaro as the Contessa and Ariadne auf Naxos as Komponist at the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre. She subsequently appeared in operas across Europe, returning as a soloist to the Greek National Opera in Athens.
Aside from operas and oratorios, her repertoire includes symphonic recitals as well as recordings of various musical works. She has taught at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, which she founded together with her husband Karolos Trikolidis, conductor of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra.
