Gábor Ladányi is a Hungarian guitarist and composer. He began his musical studies at age of seven. His multi-layered musical language draws on styles of jazz, classical music, gypsy jazz, Balkan music and blues. Gábor Ladányi was a classical guitar student of the Kodály Zoltán Music High School in Debrecen where he graduated in 2012.
Between 2012 and 2015 he studied with Ferenc Tornóczky, Kornél Fekete-Kovács and Gyula Babos at the Kőbánya Music Studio in Budapest. In 2015 Gábor Ladányi moved to Brussels to study of the jazz department of the Koninklijk Conservatorium until 2019. He has recently been playing with his own trio, called “Gabor Ladanyi Trio” with which he has released two albums named “Reborn” in 2022 and “Dusty” in 2024 under Hunnia Records. Since 2022, he plays in a duo with Lea Brückner to primarily explore classical repertoire through new arrangements written by him which bring Jazz, Latin American rhythms, and new harmonies into the classical pieces. He is also a member of the Roby Lakatos Ensemble.
