Guido Sant’Anna achieved international recognition in 2022 by becoming the first South American violinist to win the prestigious Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition. In 2018, he was the first Brazilian violinist invited to compete in the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists in Geneva, where he won the Audience and Chamber Music Awards. He was also a scholarship student at the Brazilian institution Cultura Artística under the guidance of Elisa Fukuda. His achievements earned him a place on Forbes Brasil’s 2022 ‘30 under 30’ list.
In June 2023, Sant’Anna made his debut at the Rheingau Musik Festival with the hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt. He has received scholarships from the Graded Scholar and Perlman Music programmes, and is currently supported by the Fellowship Scheme and the ArteMusica-Stiftung as a student at the Kronberg Academy. He has performed as a soloist and recitalist with major orchestras in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Cyprus, South Korea and Brazil. Sant’Anna plays with a violin made in 1874 by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, generously lent to him by the luthier Marcel Richters.
