Jane Henschel has appeared with the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony, BBC Symphony, the Royal Concertgebouw and Philadelphia Orchestras, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Dresden Staatskapelle under Ozawa, Conlon, Maazel, Rattle, Janowski, Chailly, Luisi, Colin Davis and Andrew Davis. In opera, she has appeared at the Glyndebourne, Saito Kinen and Salzburg Festivals, the Los Angeles Opera, the Paris Opéra, La Scala, Milan and the San Francisco Opera. For the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, she has sung Fricka and Waltraute under Haitink, Ulrica under Gatti, Klytemnestra under Thielemann, Mrs Grose (The Turn of the Screw) under both Colin Davis and Daniel Harding and Erda under Pappano. Her rôles at the Bavarian State Opera, Munich include Herodias, Klytemnestra, Ulrica, Mistress Quickly and Ortrud; Klytemnestra, Herodias and Ortrud at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin, and Klytemnestra, Fricka and Mistress Quickly at the Vienna State Opera. She has sung the Amme (Die Frau ohne Schatten) in Amsterdam, London, Los Angeles, Munich, Paris, Vienna, Berlin and at the Metropolitan Opera.
