Australian/French conductor Nicholas Milton is chief conductor and artistic director of the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra (Germany), the Canberra Symphony Orchestra (Australia), and the Willoughby Symphony (Sydney, Australia). He has recently held the positions of general music director of the State Opera House in Saarbrücken and chief conductor of the Jena Philharmonic, and is a regular guest conductor for Opera Australia (Sydney) and at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Volksoper Wien.
In 2016, Dr Milton was nominated for a GRAMMY Award and named a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to the arts as a musician, conductor and artistic director.
