South Indian born Sheila Arnold studied with Heidi Köhler and Karl-Heinz Kämmerling in Germany. Her concert career was launched with outstanding success at international competitions, scholarships and awards. She has performed in the most important concert halls of Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Leipzig Gewandhaus and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Sheila Arnold has been invited to many international festivals and has played with leading orchestras such as the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève and the Beethoven Halle Orchestra in Bonn. Her recordings demonstrate her huge variety in repertoire, ranging from French baroque to the contemporary, and have received enthusiastic reviews from the international press. Her interest in period keyboard instruments has been a constant source of inspiration. In 2006 she received a professorship at the Cologne Hochschule für Musik. She gives masterclasses throughout the world.
