Sumi Kittelberger studied voice with Roland Hermann in Karlsruhe and with Doris Yarick Cross at Yale University. In 2006 she became a member of the International Opera Studio in Zürich. In the 2007/08 season she joined the ensemble of the Luzern Theater, singing Olympia in Les contes d’Hoffmann and Nanetta in Falstaff. She has sung with the Kammeroper in Frankfurt am Main as well as with the Theater in Ulm. In 2006 she sang the child in L’enfant et les sortilèges and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi as well as Merlina/Silberklang in the Italian première of Le disavventure teatrali with the Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi di Milano. In concert she has appeared with the Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra at the Schwetzingen Festival and in Carnegie Hall.
