Kenneth Tarver studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy, the Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music and the Yale School of Music, and was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Young Artist Program and the Stuttgart State Theatre company. A lyric tenor, he has performed at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Opéra Comique, Paris, and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence under Claudio Abbado, among many others.
Appearances include Berlioz’s Roméo et Juliette with Valery Gergiev and the London Symphony Orchestra, Les Indes galantes under Christophe Rousset and Handel’s Messiah with the New York Philharmonic. He has participated in various award-winning recordings and twice sung under Alberto Zedda at Rossini in Wildbad.
