Acclaimed by The New York Times as a “luminous mezzo-soprano,” Faith Sherman came to international attention with “a sensational European début” (Financial Times) at the English National Opera in Kaijia Saariaho’s L’amour de loin as the Pilgrim. Notable engagements include Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music at Carnegie Hall with an all-star cast headed by Laura Osnes and Brooke Shields with the Orchestra of St Luke’s; Bernstein’s Jeremiah Symphony (Aspen Music Festival); Concepcion in L’heure espagnole (Oper Frankfurt); Beatrice in Berlioz’s Beatrice and Benedict (Houston Grand Opera). She is an alumna of The Juilliard School and Houston Grand Opera Studio Program.
