Charles Daniels’ repertoire extends 1150 years from the 9th century to the present day. Born in Salisbury, he trained at King’s College, Cambridge, and the Royal College of Music. Charles has made over 90 recordings as a soloist, include Handel’s Messiah with the Gabrieli Consort, Dowland’s Songs, Handel’s Alexander Balus with The King’s Consort, Schütz’s Christmas Story, J.S. Bach’s Easter Oratorio with the Taverner Consort, and Handel: The Occasional Songs with Emma Kirkby.

Career highlights have included Handel’s Esther sung in Hebrew in New York, Monteverdi’s Vespers with the Gabrieli Consort in Venice, Handel’s Belshazzar at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Messiah at the Musikverein, Vienna. Further engagements have included Vespers with The King’s Consort at the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Mass in B minor with the BBC Singers and Messiah with the Melbourne and Queensland Symphony Orchestras.
